On Wednesday 8th June, Gavin Hartley celebrated 30 years with HSL Compliance! There is no doubt that Gavin’s motivation, drive and commitment to growing our business is unwavering as our recent acquisitions have proven! On his thirtieth anniversary we take a look back at Gavin’s career so far and where it all began.
As the eldest of Steve Hartley’s sons, Gavin was the first to join his father at HSL as a trainee in 1992. In order to gain relevant experience, Gavin enrolled onto the company development plan and began his HSL career at site level, carrying out monitoring and risk assessment duties. Following this Gavin progressed through office based positions before joining the management team in the North and Scotland. After many years managing this region, he moved onto a Director role – firstly in a Business Development position and then through to Operations.
Gavin became Managing Director of HSL 7 years ago and in the last few months has been made CEO of HSL Compliance Holdings. As part of this new position, Gavin is responsible for strategically influencing the significant growth of HSL and our future aspirations.
Gavin has enjoyed an impressive career to date and we wish him all the best! Our Chairman, Mark Silver has also congratulated Gavin: “Gavin’s 30 years with HSL is a wonderful achievement. Through that time he has clearly continued to develop his skills and is now an outstanding CEO and an outstanding man”.
