We have seen various types of wintry weather throughout January, including Storm Christoph. Our Compliance team have implemented several safety measures and issued guidance to our team to keep them safe and reduce the risks that these perilous weather conditions than cause.
Our Compliance team emailed a bulletin to all our people, giving them guidance on working in high winds, along with a recent toolbox talk regarding driving in adverse conditions. This provides advice for driving in precarious weather conditions, including heavy rain, strong winds and floods.
Pre-planning a task is critical to reduce risk to ourselves and to members of the public. Weather is a major factor in which job tasks can commence on a daily basis and what precautions must be in place before starting the job.
