HSL Compliance Covid-19 Compliance Update

A brief update from our Managing Director in relation to our response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hopefully you managed to enjoy the festive break and are continuing to keep you and those close to you safe and well. Unfortunately, 2021 seems to have picked up very much where 2020 left off in terms of the virus pandemic situation, so our first blog of the new year is our latest Covid-19 update.

With the recent individual government announcements essentially being a new national lockdown, we have gone through all the guidance issued and we just want to reassure you that, unless you advise us otherwise, it is very much business as usual as far as we are concerned across all of the UK. We are providing an essential service and the guidance is very much that these services should continue to be carried out.

This means that our technicians will be attending your sites as normal, unless expressly advised otherwise by yourselves. The guidance is still that compliance visits can take place within people’s homes, schools are open in some form or another and the vast majority of our water treatment sites are essential manufacturing or healthcare so we are scheduling our visits as normal. Therefore, it is critical that you inform us in advance if our staff will not be permitted access or you have specific requirements for them to avoid any aborted visit costs.

As stated in our previous communication, we are continuing to absorb the increased PPE and other associated Covid-19 costs and it is our intention to be one of the few companies not looking to pass these costs onto our customers. However, please do note that if your site(s) have specific PPE or precautionary requirements outside of our provisions, we would expect that to be either paid for or provided by yourselves.
