Clean and Disinfections
In accordance with HSG274, there are several conditions under which a water system should be cleaned, flushed and disinfected. When systems show evidence of contamination or stagnation for example, cleaning and disinfection will be required. HSL Compliance will undertake this process in line with BS 8558:2011 using a suitable chemical cleaning agent in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Certain systems (for example shower heads and hoses) have specific guidance on cleaning regimes where as others will be dependent on their condition from their regular inspection regime.
We can provide full clean and disinfection services for domestic water outlets, large and small scale water tanks, water heaters and calorifiers, cooling towers as well as pre-commission cleaning services.
On completion of all clean and disinfections HSL Compliance will enter all details into the on-site log book along with providing a copy of the Asset Disinfection certificate. A copy of the certificate can also be emailed over and/or uploaded to the client portal accompanied with the before and after date/time stamped photographs.
