Legionella Risk Assessment

A legionella risk assessment is the first stage in ascertaining the risk from legionella bacteria in your water system. If you are you are responsible for buildings then you need to have an assessment in place which documents the level of risk within the system from legionella.

A legionella risk assessment must always be done by a competent person. We employ a national team of fully experienced and City & Guilds accredited Risk Assessors and our assessments are carried out in compliance with BS 8580:2010 and ACOP L8.

All Risk Assessors are enrolled onto our Personal Development Plan which has been designed in accordance with the requirements of the Legionella Control Association and is accredited by City & Guilds. This development plan ensures all our staff are continually monitored and trained throughout their career with HSL Compliance.

The Legionella Risk Assessment process includes a full site survey to review and assess all water systems within the property. The assessment will clarify the risk level and recommend any control measures required to ensure full compliance with regulations. These recommendations will be prioritised in order of urgency to assist the customer in organising the required remedial actions
